Responsibilities
Collaborate with system suppliers and engineering teams to design and develop HV/MV electrical systems, protection relays, transformers, switchgear, and SCADA solutions. Conduct load flow, short circuit, and system studies using software such as ETAP or DIgSILENT, ensuring adherence to IEC, IEEE, and DNV standards. Prepare and review single line diagrams (SLDs), protection coordination studies, cable schedules, and other technical documentation. Provide FAT, SAT, and commissioning support to verify performance and compliance. Troubleshoot and resolve HV/MV system issues while offering guidance to junior engineers. Work closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure safe and reliable operations. Implement preventive maintenance programs to enhance system reliability and lifecycle performance.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in high voltage or medium voltage engineering, preferably in offshore environments. Proficiency in electrical design software applications. Relevant certifications in high voltage or medium voltage engineering are advantageous. Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, HV systems, offshore operations, and safety regulations. Ability to stay current with the latest advancements and best practices in HV/MV engineering. Capability to lead and mentor junior engineers, with a strong emphasis on safety. Excellent planning, organizational, interpersonal skills, and adaptability to dynamic conditions.
