Data Centre Engineer

Key Responsibilities: Monitor and maintain all data centre facilities infrastructure, including UPS, power systems, cooling, temperature and humidity controls, and water detection sensors.

Ensure supporting systems such as Environment Monitoring Systems (EMS), Access Control Systems, and Electronic Visitation Management System are fully operational.

Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues and ensure timely support for customers.

Conduct maintenance activities, shutdowns, and upgrades, following established SOPs, MOPs, and emergency response procedures.

Maintain accurate documentation and reports on DC facilities operations, incidents, and maintenance activities.

Support incident response and root cause analysis for facility-related issues, escalating as necessary.

Ensure strict adherence to safety, compliance, and change management protocols within the data centre environment.

Requirements:

NITEC/Higher NITEC or Diploma in Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, Computer & Communications Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields, or equivalent technical qualifications with relevant experience.

Strong understanding of data centre infrastructure, including electrical and mechanical systems, fire detection and suppression systems, building management systems, and critical facility operations.

Experience in maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of critical infrastructure.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to liaise effectively with vendors, colleagues, and customers.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities; capable of working independently and in a team.

Willingness to work in a day/night shift environment.
