Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead a major SAP S/4HANA RISE implementation for a leading retail client in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project leadership, governance, stakeholder management, delivery oversight, and coordination across business, SAP, implementation partner, and functional and technical teams.

The ideal candidate must have successfully managed at least one large-scale, end-to-end SAP Retail implementation and should be comfortable leading a complex greenfield transformation in a high-volume retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end delivery of a large SAP S/4HANA RISE implementation for a retail organization.

Own overall project planning, execution, governance, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and project outcomes.

Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and change requests.

Establish and maintain strong project governance, reporting, steering committee forums, and executive-level communication.

Coordinate cross-functional SAP workstreams including FICO, SAP Retail, MM, SD, POS, integration, data migration, testing, and technical teams.

Work closely with business stakeholders and the implementation partner to ensure alignment with business objectives and SAP best practices.

Drive requirements, solution design, fit-to-standard / fit-gap activities, testing, data migration, cutover, go-live, and stabilization.

Manage project resources, workstream leads, vendors, system integrators, and other delivery partners.

Identify and proactively manage project risks, issues, interdependencies, and critical path activities.

Ensure effective coordination of SIT, UAT, defect management, cutover rehearsals, production deployment, and hypercare.

Monitor project progress against approved plans and provide accurate status reporting to senior management and steering committees.

Facilitate decision-making and timely resolution of escalations across business and technology teams.

Ensure project documentation, governance controls, quality standards, and delivery processes are maintained throughout the program.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

10+ years of overall SAP project / program management experience.

Proven experience managing at least one large-scale, end-to-end SAP Retail implementation.

Strong understanding of SAP Retail business processes and the integration of retail processes with SAP Finance, Supply Chain, POS, and other enterprise systems.

Hands-on project management experience across the full SAP implementation lifecycle, from initiation through go-live and stabilization.

Experience managing SAP S/4HANA implementation programs.

Experience with SAP RISE / RISE with SAP implementation programs.

Strong experience managing System Integrators, SAP partners, vendors, and multi-disciplinary project teams.

Excellent project governance, risk management, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.

Strong understanding of project methodologies, implementation governance, testing, cutover, and change management.

Ability to manage complex, high-volume retail transformation programs with multiple business and technology dependencies.

Preferred Experience

Experience with greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementations.

Experience in large retail organizations with multiple stores, business units, channels, or geographies.

Exposure to POS integration, omnichannel retail, inventory, merchandising, finance, and supply chain processes.

Experience with SAP RISE transformation and cloud-based implementation models.

Experience working in international / multi-country implementation environments.
