Senior Software Developer (PHP)

Responsibilities

Analyse business requirements and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications.

Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using PHP (Laravel) and modern frontend technologies.

Develop and integrate RESTful APIs with internal and external systems.

Design and Optimize SQL queries, databases, and application performance.

Perform code reviews, testing, debugging, deployment, and production support.

Apply software engineering best practices to build secure and reliable applications.

Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

Collaborate with business users and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative digital solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum 7 years of enterprise PHP application development experience, with strong expertise in Laravel. Experience with CodeIgniter will be an advantage.

Strong proficiency in PHP, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), MVC architecture, SQL, relational databases, data modelling, and RESTful API development.

Proficient in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, responsive web development, and modern frontend frameworks. Experience with React or Vue.js will be an advantage.

Experience with Git/Bitbucket, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile software development practices.

Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, Apache/Nginx, AWS or other cloud platforms will be an advantage.

Knowledge of Redis, WebSocket, caching, message queues, application performance optimisation, and OWASP secure coding practices is preferred.

Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor). Experience integrating AI services or LLM APIs into enterprise applications will be an advantage.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Experience working within Singapore\'s business or regulatory environment will be an advantage.
