Assistant Engineer (ACMV)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

. Develop and perform design calculations for ACMV (Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation), HVAC, and Control Systems

. Prepare construction drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and ensure compliance with local codes and regulations

. Oversee and coordinate M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) services on-site including installation, testing, and commissioning activities

. Monitor project schedules and work programs to ensure timely completion of tasks

. Determine project specifications by analyzing product designs, customer requirements, and performance standards

. Conduct technical studies and prepare cost estimates

. Liaise with clients, main contractors, and consultants to track project progress and address project-related matters

. Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely material delivery

. Maintain a safe work environment and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards

. Supervise subcontractors' work to ensure quality output aligned with client requirements

. Assist the Project Manager in evaluating progress claims and verifying quantities and quality of completed work

. Perform any other duties as assigned by management

Job requirements & skills

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent

Proficiency in English (written and spoken)

Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in ACMV system design and supervision

Specialization in ACMV engineering is preferred
