Network Security Engineer - Singapore - Hedge Fund - Financial Services
My client is hiring a Network Security Engineer to help design, build, and protect mission-critical trading infrastructure in a fast-paced, global environment.
You’ll work closely with security, technology, and trading teams to strengthen network security while supporting high-performance trading operations.
What you’ll do Design and support a secure, resilient trading network infrastructure
Implement network security controls such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NDR, and SASE
Reduce network risk using micro-segmentation and port-based security
Analyse network traffic and packet captures to investigate security events
Use automation, scripting, and emerging technologies (including AI) to improve detection and response
Continuously automate and improve security operations
Participate in on-call support when required
Requirements: Strong experience as a Network Security Engineer in complex environments
Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, SASE, NDR, and IDS solutions
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, OSI model, and Layer 1–4 / 7 concepts
Comfortable scripting or coding to automate workflows
Proactive, innovative mindset with a passion for improving security
Clear communicator who can explain technical concepts to non-technical teams
