Project Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

Key Responsibilities

Project Lifecycle Management:

Lead engineering projects for high-end semiconductor assembly equipment from concept to commissioning, ensuring timeline compliance and budgetary control.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Coordinate between Mechanical, Electrical Hardware, and Vision software engineering teams to ensure optimal machine performance.

Customization & Retrofitting:

Manage client requests for custom automated equipment engineering solutions, modifications, and retrofitting of existing fleet lines.

Testing & Integration:

Oversee the validation and testing of precision hardware, laser marking systems, high-end vision inspection tools, and ultra-precision handling systems.

Client Engagement:

Serve as the technical point of contact for global clients across consumer electronics, automotive, and healthcare sectors to define requirements and conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).

Continuous Improvement:

Work alongside external strategic automation partners to evaluate build optimization, minimizing system faults while maximizing equipment throughput.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.

Experience:

Minimum 2–5 years of experience in project management or automation engineering within the semiconductor equipment or high-precision automation manufacturing industry.

Technical Knowledge:

Understanding of precision automated machinery, vision inspection systems, electrical motion control, or laser systems is highly preferred.

Skills:

Strong documentation skills for project schedules, engineering change notices (ECNs), and validation reports.
