Job Description – AVP/Technical Director

The Technical Director is the company’s top technical authority responsible for shaping strategy, guiding product development, and ensuring strong technical execution across platforms and products. The role requires deep expertise in software and technical product management, along with the ability to analyze customer needs and market trends. The Technical Director oversees product architecture, engineering excellence, and the Training and Quality Assurance functions. They ensure all solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, cost‑efficient, and aligned with business objectives. This leader also collaborates closely with senior management and serves as a trusted technical advisor to internal teams, customers, and partners.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Technical Strategy & Architecture

Own end‑to‑end technical architecture for the business solutions

Define technology roadmaps, standards, and reference architectures

Approve platforms, designs, and adoption of new technologies

Ensure alignment with Company business and growth strategy

Engineering Governance & Quality

Establish engineering standards, best practices, and governance frameworks

Lead technical design reviews for major bids and projects

Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, data protection, safety, and regulatory requirements

Drive system reliability, performance, and maintainability

Project & Delivery Oversight

Provide technical leadership for large, complex, or mission‑critical projects

Resolve high‑risk technical issues and project escalations

Ensure technical scope, cost, and risk are effectively managed

Support smooth transition from project delivery to operations

Pre‑Sales & Customer Engagement

Act as technical authority in pre‑sales and tender activities

Lead solution design for complex or strategic opportunities

Engage customers, consultants, and stakeholders on technical matters

Present and defend technical solutions at executive level

Digital Enablement including security considerations

Ensure security‑by‑design across all Company solutions

Oversee IT/OT integration, system hardening, and network segmentation

Team Leadership & Capability Building

Lead and mentor architects, technical leads, and senior engineers

Build technical capability, succession planning, and competency frameworks

Promote innovation, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence

Define technical engagement models with OEMs and technology partners

Evaluate vendor roadmaps and technology alignment

Drive standardization to reduce cost, risk, and complexity

Requirements

15+ years of experience in

security systems, automation, or large‑scale systems integration .

Proven track record in

technical leadership

for complex, multi‑disciplinary programs and projects.

Strong experience in several of the following areas:

Physical security platforms

Infrastructure and networking with OT/IT convergence
