JOB TYPE:

30 Months Renewable contract

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work closely with the System Infrastructure team to support and maintain the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system.

Responsible for the operations, support, maintenance, research and development of AFC system infrastructure to ensure continual improvement and innovation.

Perform effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of system hardware, operating systems, software and related infrastructure.

Manage and support infrastructure across on-premise environments and Government on Commercial Cloud (GCC).

Participate in technical research and development activities to support continuous infrastructure innovation.

Ensure system hardware, operating systems, software and related procedures comply with organizational standards and requirements.

Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, incident resolution and preventive maintenance.

Support infrastructure upgrades, deployments, configuration changes and system improvements.

Collaborate with internal technical teams and stakeholders to ensure system availability, stability and performance.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation, system configurations and operational procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

Degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Data Communications or a related field. Diploma holders with relevant experience and expertise will also be considered.

Minimum 3 years of experience in System Administration / System Engineering.

System Engineer certification in Red Hat Linux and/or Microsoft, including Cloud technologies, is preferred.

Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Red Hat Linux administration and scripting.

Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Good understanding of on-premise infrastructure and cloud environments.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team..
