Project Engineer (Smart Utilities & Infrastructure)

1. Project Planning and Coordination

Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Coordinate activities between engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.

Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or issues.

Support project managers in achieving project milestones.

2. Technical Management

Review engineering designs, specifications, and drawings.

Ensure technical solutions meet project requirements and industry standards.

Resolve engineering and technical issues during project execution.

Manage design changes and technical documentation.

3. Cost and Budget Control

Support cost estimation and budget preparation.

Track project expenditures against approved budgets.

Review contractor claims, variations, and change orders.

Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency.

4. Schedule Management

Develop and maintain project schedules.

Monitor project activities against planned timelines.

Report schedule risks and propose mitigation measures.

Coordinate project deliverables to meet deadlines.

5. Quality Assurance and Compliance

Ensure compliance with engineering standards, specifications, and regulations.

Conduct inspections and quality checks.

Review test results and commissioning activities.

Support quality audits and corrective actions.

6. Risk and Safety Management

Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.

Participate in risk assessments and safety reviews.

Promote safe work practices throughout the project lifecycle.

7. Procurement and Contract Support

Prepare technical specifications for procurement.

Evaluate vendor and contractor technical submissions.

Support contract administration and technical negotiations.

Monitor supplier performance and deliverables.

8. Stakeholder Communication

Prepare project status reports and presentations.

Facilitate technical meetings and discussions.

Communicate project updates, issues, and recommendations to management.

Liaise with clients, regulators, and external parties when required.
