Job Description

We are looking for a Java / SQL Developer to support a data migration project for a corporate banking client. The role will focus on migrating databases to MariaDB, converting stored procedures, tuning SQL performance, and developing Java applications.

Key Responsibilities

Perform data and database object migration to MariaDB.

Develop, convert, and optimise stored procedures.

Perform SQL tuning to improve query and batch performance.

Develop and enhance Spring Boot services and REST APIs.

Build and maintain Spring Batch jobs for data processing.

Support data validation and reconciliation for high-volume corporate data.

Participate in testing, defect resolution, and cutover activities.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

6+ years of hands-on Java development experience.

Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch and REST APIs.

Strong MariaDB / SQL skills, including stored procedures and SQL performance tuning.

Experience in data migration or database migration projects.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

Banking or financial services experience corporate banking exposure is an advantage.

Experience with legacy-to-new platform migration projects.

Immediate availability is preferred.
