L2 Cybersecurity Engineer (Network Security)
About the job L2 Cybersecurity Engineer (Network Security)
Responsibilities:
Provide Level-2 support for network security tools: Firewalls (Cisco/Fortinet/Checkpoint), IPS/IDS (Trendmicro), Proxies (Skyhigh), VPNs (Ivanti), and F5 load balancers.
Handle incident management, change requests, and vulnerability remediation (patching, configuration hardening).
Monitor and troubleshoot LAN/WAN/VPNs (Cisco ACI, Arista, DNAC) and DNS/DHCP (Infoblox).
Maintain security SOPs, CMDB records, and audit-ready documentation.
Ensure adherence to Singapore financial regulations (e.g., AML, data breach reporting).
Support security infrastructure upgrades and emerging tech implementations.
Mentor Level-1 teams and conduct security awareness training for staff.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Science (Computer Studies) or a related field.
With at least 5+ years in network security operations (2+ years in financial services preferred).
Hands-on experience with:
(c) Tools: Wireshark, Netflow, SIEM (optional: Splunk/QRadar).
(d) Scripting/Automation: Python/Bash/Ansible for task optimization.
Ability to diagnose complex network/security issues.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and logical skills.
Nice-to-Have:
Certifications: CCNP Security, CISSP, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent.
Knowledge of threat hunting, Zero Trust, or cloud security (AWS/Azure).
Additional info:
This role is offered on a yearly renewable contract basis, with the potential for permanent employment based on performance.
Able to support rotational shift scheduled based on duty roaster (Paris and/or New York and/or Asia time zone).
Able to provide on-call support during non-business hours/and or on weekends.
