Senior/Analyst Programmer (Java/JEE)

Job:

. Be the bridge between business users and technology - gathering requirements, designing solutions, and ensuring our Java-based applications run smoothly from concept to delivery.

Role:

. Requirements & Analysis: Gather and analyse user requirements and translate them into clear application specifications and technical designs.

. System Lifecycle: Analyse, design, test, implement, and maintain application systems and web-based applications.

. Database Design: Support database design, data modelling, and ensure data integrity across systems.

. Quality Assurance: Drive testing, UAT, and QA processes to ensure solutions meet business and technical standards.

. Stakeholder Management: Work independently with business users to clarify needs, and manage vendors where applicable.

. Project Delivery: Support project planning, tracking, and delivery with strong project management discipline.

Requirements:

. Minimum 5 years in systems analysis, design, development, implementation, and quality assurance.

. Hands-on experience with Java Enterprise Application Development .

. Good communication, project management, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

. Able to work independently in gathering requirements and translating them into specifications.

. Vendor management experience.

Technical Skills:

Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas:

. Java & Frameworks: Java, Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Web), Hibernate, JPA, Angular/AngularJS, React, Node.js, PrimeFaces

. Web Development: AJAX, JSF, REST, SOAP, Web Services, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, DHTML, Responsive Web Design.

. Databases: DB2, MS SQL, Oracle. Experience in database design and SQL required.

. Environments & Tools: Linux, Unix, Red Hat Linux, Windows, Oracle Solaris, z/OS

. IDEs: Eclipse, JDeveloper, IBM IDz for z/OS

. Application Servers: JBoss/WildFly

. Other: IBM MQ, Service Oriented Architecture, Rules Engines, SCA, Apache Web Server, IIS

. Legacy/Additional: COBOL, CICS, JCL, MVS - an advantage Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Testing tools.
