Shift Coverage and Manning

. Coverage shall be provided on a 12-hour shift duty cycle, on a 3 workdays / 3 days off rotation over a 2-week cycle.

. Personnel must remain attentive and responsive for the full duration of each shift

Data Centre Monitoring & Incident Management

. Monitor data centre monitoring systems for alerts, alarms, and abnormal conditions.

. Identify potential operational issues and raise incident tickets in accordance with established procedures.

. Escalate technical alerts and incidents to the appropriate Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) or support teams.

. Track incident tickets from initial reporting through resolution and closure.

. Maintain accurate records of incidents, actions taken, escalations, and status updates

Security and Access Control

. Verify and facilitate authorised visitor, contractor, and vendor access.

. Escort visitors and vendors within controlled data centre areas where required.

. Perform physical infrastructure checks, including rack access control and identification of unattended or unauthorised items.

. Maintain data centre facilities awareness (e.g. aircon leaks, temperature abnormalities).

. Follow security policies and procedures when handling customer equipment.

Documentation and Inventory

. Register equipment movement in and out of the data centre.

. Record serial numbers and equipment changes.

. Perform hardware inventory checks and asset verification.

Job Requirements

. Minimum academic qualification: Diploma or below (Nitec/technical diploma in IT, Computer Engineering, or related discipline preferred).

. Basic understanding of data centre operations, IT infrastructure, and common hardware (servers, network equipment, racks, cabling).

. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).

. Ability to follow SOPs, escalation procedures, and security requirements without close supervision.
