Senior Robotics System Engineer

About the Role

Our client is developing an

AI-powered robotics platform

that integrates

AMR and drone systems

for retail, warehouse, and logistics applications.

We are looking for a

Senior Robotics System Engineer

to take ownership of robotic system development, integration, testing, and deployment. You will work across robotics software, hardware, sensors, and autonomous systems to build reliable robotic solutions for real-world environments.

Candidates from

Robotics, AMR/AGV, Autonomous Systems, Embedded Systems, or Robot Integration

backgrounds are welcome.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and integration of

AMR robotic platforms , from prototype/POC through production deployment.

Develop and optimise robotic control and system-level software for mobile robots and their interaction with other robotic systems.

Integrate and configure sensors including

LiDAR, cameras, depth cameras, and IMU .

Work with

ROS/ROS2

and relevant navigation frameworks to integrate robotic software and hardware components.

Conduct robot commissioning, system testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation in real-world environments.

Collaborate with

software, hardware, mechanical, electrical, and external engineering teams

to deliver fully integrated robotic systems.

Support the transition from prototype to production, including hardware/component selection, vendor coordination, technical documentation, and deployment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or above in

Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering , or a related field.

Professional experience in

Robotics, AMR/AGV, Autonomous Systems, Embedded Systems, or related areas .

Strong programming skills in

C++ and/or Python .

Hands-on experience with

robotic system integration and real-time systems .

Familiarity with

ROS/ROS2

and robotic software frameworks.

Experience working with sensors such as

LiDAR, IMU, cameras, or depth sensors .

Solid understanding of robotics systems, hardware/software integration, and system-level troubleshooting.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with

AMR, AGV, mobile robots, drones, or autonomous vehicles .

Experience with

SLAM, localisation, path planning, or navigation .

Familiarity with

ROS2 Navigation Stack (Nav2) .

Experience with

motor control, actuators, chassis systems, or robotic hardware .

Experience with robot commissioning and

field deployment .

Knowledge of

electrical systems, power distribution, or hardware integration .

Proven experience taking robotic products from

prototype/POC to commercial deployment .

Experience in

warehouse automation, logistics, retail robotics, or industrial robotics .
