Principal Engineer Etch Process

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Etch Process Engineer to lead the development, optimization, and sustainment of advanced dry etch processes in a wafer fabrication environment. This role will drive process performance, yield improvement, and manufacturing excellence while collaborating closely with integration, equipment, and technology teams. You will also serve as a technical expert, providing mentorship and leading continuous improvement initiatives for advanced semiconductor process technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, optimize, and sustain advanced etch processes to achieve performance, yield, and quality targets.

Create and optimize process recipes, monitor tool performance, and improve process stability.

Analyze process data, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and implement corrective actions.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, yield, and manufacturing efficiency.

Establish and maintain process documentation, including SOPs, FMEA, and process control methodologies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, equipment suppliers, and technology partners to support new process development.

Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the etch engineering team.

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and manufacturing standards.

Ideal Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials Science, or a related Engineering discipline.

5-8 years of semiconductor wafer fabrication experience with strong expertise in dry etch process engineering.

Hands-on experience with process optimization, troubleshooting, SPC, DOE, and FMEA methodologies.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Proven ability to work independently while leading cross-functional technical initiatives.

Experience mentoring engineers and driving continuous process improvement is highly preferred.
