About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and strategic
Training Manager
to join our team. This is a
full-time position
that plays a vital role in shaping the professional development and capabilities of our workforce. As Training Manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive training and development programmes that enhance employee performance, engagement, and career progression. This role is integral to our organisational success, ensuring that our team members have the skills and knowledge required to deliver outstanding service and achieve business objectives.
Key responsibilities
Develop and design comprehensive training programmes tailored to the needs of the organisation, including induction programmes, operational training, and professional development initiatives
Assess training needs across departments through consultations with management and performance evaluations to identify skill gaps and development opportunities
Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops, and seminars to staff at all levels, utilising varied delivery methods including face-to-face, e-learning, and blended approaches
Manage the training budget and procurement of training materials, resources, and external training providers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality outcomes
Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback mechanisms, and performance metrics to measure return on investment and continuous improvement
Maintain detailed training records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organisational policies
Collaborate with departmental heads and senior management to align training initiatives with business strategy and organisational goals
Mentor and coach employees on career development pathways and support succession planning initiatives
Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in training and development to ensure our programmes remain relevant and competitive
Create and maintain training content, including manuals, guides, and digital resources that support employee learning
Design and develop On The Job training plan
What we're looking for
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a training and development role, preferably within the hospitality, service, or related industries
Demonstrated expertise in designing and delivering effective training programmes and workshops across diverse audiences
Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and training evaluation frameworks
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and engagingly to audiences at all levels
Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
Proven ability to analyse training needs and translate them into measurable learning outcomes
Experience in budget management and cost control related to training functions
Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
ACTA qualifications or other training certifications would be advantageous
