Software Test Engineer

Our Client is a global payments technology provider.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a

Software Test Engineer

to ensure system reliability, accuracy, and compliance across transaction processing and customer lifecycle workflows.

Execute functional, integration, and user acceptance testing across payment systems

Validate end-to-end workflows including onboarding, transaction processing, billing, fraud controls, and account management

Perform testing on transaction messaging flows and backend processing logic

Support certification and compliance testing with external networks and partners

Investigate defects, coordinate resolution, and communicate updates to stakeholders

Work closely with development, business, and QA teams to ensure alignment on testing scope and outcomes

Develop and execute test cases, and maintain documentation using standard tools

Perform data validation and analysis using database queries

Support system integration testing using APIs and related tools

Contribute to reporting, documentation, and go-live readiness activities.

Requirements

Experience in payment or transaction-based systems

Strong understanding of transaction lifecycles, account structures, and financial workflows

Familiarity with testing tools, defect tracking systems, and API testing

Working knowledge of SQL or similar for data validation

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
