Job Description

Administer, monitor and support enterprise backup and recovery platforms to ensure high availability, performance and successful backup operations.

Perform end-to-end troubleshooting of backup failures, restore requests and infrastructure issues across servers, storage and network components.

Diagnose backup data paths from client systems to storage targets, including verification of Data Domain appliances, hardware health, storage performance and network connectivity.

Manage backup operations using Dell PowerProtect Data Manager (PPDM) and Avamar.

Deploy, configure and maintain backup solutions for physical servers, virtual machines, NAS workloads and Kubernetes (K8s) environments.

Coordinate with technology vendors and internal engineering teams to resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.

Support infrastructure changes, patching, upgrades, capacity planning and technology refresh initiatives.

Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), knowledge articles and system configurations.

Participate in incident, problem and change management processes in accordance with ITIL best practices.

Provide technical support to customers and stakeholders while ensuring service levels and operational excellence are maintained.
