As part of its global expansion plans, a fintech startup is currently looking for a Quantitative Developer who enjoys building clean, dependable systems that support real-world investment decisions.
You'll collaborate closely with researchers, portfolio managers, and data/infra teams to turn ideas into polished, production-ready tools—ranging from portfolio utilities to reporting frameworks. This role is hands-on, engineering-focused, and offers plenty of room to take ownership and shape the platform.
What you'll work on:
Creating services, data models, and command-line tools used across portfolios, strategies, and data pipelines
Converting exploratory notebooks into robust, typed Python packages
Enhancing market-data infrastructure across PostgreSQL, S3, Parquet, and ingestion flows
Building and testing analytics components for performance, attribution, and rebalancing
Turning research concepts into reliable Python modules with strong testing and observability
Improving processes and systems proactively rather than waiting for direction
What you should bring:
Deep Python experience (typing, packaging, testing, code quality tools)
Solid quantitative background (statistics, optimization, signals, etc.)
Proficiency in SQL and comfort writing/reading migrations
Strong engineering habits with git, CLI workflows, and automation
Experience with AWS, containerized development, and CI pipelines
A self-driven approach and ability to manage your own priorities
Bonus experience: portfolio or risk concepts, factor research, execution analytics, integrating market-data vendors, or distributed compute environments.
