Associate EUC Engineer - Project Management (EUC)

Job Description

Position Overview

An End User Computing (EUC) Project Engineer supports the implementation and deployment of End-user devices (desktops, laptops, clinical workstations, tablets and peripherals etc) for new hospitals, clinics, wards etc and administrative areas.

This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues during implementation, integration with hospital systems and post-live support and smooth handling to operations team.

The EUC Engineer works closely with other IT teams to deliver high-quality service and support.

Role & Responsibilities

Deploy, configure, and support end user devices (desktops, laptops, clinical workstations, tablets)

Install and configure peripherals (printers, scanners, barcode readers, docking stations)

Setup and validate access to clinical systems (e.g. EMR and other clinical applications)

Perform network connectivity checks and basic LAN/Wi Fi troubleshooting

Provide on site EUC support during UAT, go live, and post implementation stabilization phases

Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and escalate to relevant teams where required

Maintain accurate asset inventory, deployment records, and project documentation

Ensure compliance with SingHealth / Synapxe IT standards, cybersecurity, and operational policies

Procurement & Project Funding Responsibilities

Lead and manage ITQ / RFP processes for non standard IT equipment required for the EUC project scope, in accordance with SingHealth / Synapxe procurement governance

Define, validate, and document technical specifications and scope requirements in collaboration with clinical users, Applications, Infrastructure, and other stakeholders

Coordinate closely with ALPS / Procurement to ensure appropriate sourcing strategy, tender compliance, and timely execution

Conduct technical evaluation of vendor submissions and provide inputs for commercial evaluation where required

Prepare and endorse Technical Evaluation Reports (TER) and support award recommendations

Drive project funding approvals by preparing clear scope justifications, cost breakdowns, and supporting documentation for Project Approval and Award Approval

Ensure alignment between approved project scope, budget, and procurement activities, minimising risks of variation orders (VOs)

Provide clarifications and responses during procurement reviews, audits, and approval forums (e.g. ERPSC)

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline

Experience in EUC support, IT deployment, or large‑scale IT rollout projects

Familiar with procurement process and project management

Healthcare or clinical IT environment experience is advantageous

Working knowledge of:

Windows OS and Microsoft Office

Active Directory and user account management

Basic networking (LAN / Wi‑Fi troubleshooting)

Strong problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills

Excellent end user, stakeholder and vendor management

Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment

Open to travel to different sites to support as and when required
