Sales Development Representative

The Sales Development Representative is responsible for demonstrating the value and benefits of our client’s products or services through customer engagement, lead qualification, and lead conversion, as well as supporting sales and renewal activities where required. This role requires strong communication skills, product knowledge, and the ability to connect customer needs with relevant solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasts.
• Develop strong product knowledge and a technical understanding of services to assess client requirements. Understand relevant AI-enabled product capabilities and explain how they can address customer needs.
• Identify and help resolve customer concerns or roadblocks affecting satisfaction or product usage.
• Manage competitive pressures and handle objections to retain existing customers or win new customers.
• Manage a high volume of daily customer contacts through phone and email, with a primary focus on outbound communication.
• Use AI-enabled sales and productivity tools, where appropriate, to support prospect research, personalize outreach for Japanese speaking customers, and prepare for customer conversations.
• Work with the team and management to provide a professional experience during all interactions with customers and prospects.
• Maintain accurate and complete customer information in the CRM.
• Undertake sales activities including lead qualification, lead conversion, customer health checks, gathering customer feedback, and contract renewals.
• Apply AI-enabled tools to support follow-up and routine administrative tasks, reviewing outputs for accuracy and relevance to the customer.
• Work collaboratively within the team and report directly to a Sales Manager.

You Have

• 4+ years of experience in a sales role.
• Demonstrated success achieving individual and team sales quotas or goals.
• Experience in high-volume calling.
• Ability to learn new technologies and work with data.
• Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, AI-enabled sales and productivity tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using Salesforce.com or a similar CRM.
• Experience or willingness to work from home.
• Proficiency in both English and Japanese is required for this role, as the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting Japanese-speaking customers and stakeholders, conducting sales discussions, negotiations, and business communications in Japanese, and addressing market-specific requirements for customers based in Japan and across the APAC region.
