Role Overview

We are seeking a

Senior Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin)

to design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications. The role focuses on

Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, IBM MQ, SQL, and complex production troubleshooting , with opportunities to work across the full software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using

Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot .

Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.

Analyse and resolve complex

legacy system defects and production issues .

Develop, optimise, and troubleshoot

SQL queries

across Oracle/MySQL databases.

Work with

JMS/IBM MQ, REST/SOAP APIs , and enterprise integrations.

Apply

JUnit, TDD, code reviews , and software engineering best practices.

Support

AWS, CI/CD, Docker, and Git

environments.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams within an

Agile/Scrum

environment.

Requirements

Minimum

5 years of hands-on experience

with

Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot .

Strong knowledge of

Object-Oriented Programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design .

Experience with

JUnit, TDD, and acceptance testing .

Strong

SQL and relational database

knowledge.

Hands-on experience with

JMS/IBM MQ

and REST/SOAP Web Services.

Working knowledge of

Linux, AWS, CI/CD, Docker, and Git .

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good to Have

Experience with

EJB, JPA/Hibernate, JBoss/WildFly, Kafka, or React.js .

Experience with

complex SQL query optimisation .

Experience supporting and enhancing

large-scale legacy applications .
