Executive Engineer (Communications)

What the role is

You will be responsible for the project management and supervision of maintenance of our state‑of‑the‑art mission‑critical Communications, Navigation Aid and Surveillance (CNS) Systems. You will ensure the overall quality and integrity of the projects, maintain the CNS Systems in accordance with international standards and best practices, and enhance both the software and hardware of the existing CNS Systems.

What you will be working on

You will manage the project resources and schedules by working with both internal and external parties to deliver facilities and systems that meet the specified standards. You will also manage our maintenance contractors to ensure that all maintenance services are performed and the CNS Systems are maintained to the highest performance standards. You will be responsible for the project management of any system replacement, including the whole procurement and implementation process, as well as support the implementation of new systems. You will conduct market research, evaluate emerging technologies, and participate in their demonstrations to assess suitability for use in CAAS' environment. The results of these evaluations and studies will determine the concept and technical approach for future projects.

What we are looking for

Trained in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering and/or Engineering (Computing/Telecommunication) or equivalent

Good communication, writing and interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and an aptitude for detail

Able to work independently and also a good team player who can work with officers of all levels

Experience in cybersecurity would be beneficial

Have an analytical and open mind, and be self‑driven

Ability to work outside normal working hours for system maintenance/deployment activities

Ability to travel for overseas visits, meetings, conferences and trainings

Your appointment designation will be commensurate with your relevant work experience. Successful candidates will be offered a 3‑year contract in the first instance, and may be considered for placement on a permanent tenure or subsequent contract renewal.
