Desktop Support Engineer

Scope of Work and Responsibilities

Analytical in solving and troubleshooting customer’s IT network and infrastructure.

IT Support Technicians work to maintain inhouse and clients computer systems and networks.

Help the users of a network to use relevant devices and applications by answering any questions that may arise. It is part tech job and part customer service.

Able to work and thrive under pressure with tight deadlines and fulfill tasks agreed to the customer.

Able to fulfill KPI given for performance review

Must be familiar with common PC and application software; Reloading; Backup of Desktop systems

Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by superiors or Directors

Must be able to work independently and analyse problems before escalation or discussing with immediate superiors or Directors

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong trouble-shooting and problem solving skills;

Proactive, flexible and energetic team player

Possess a positive “can-do” attitude towards work.

Fluent in English and writing

Requirements:

Diploma / Degree or other relevant qualification

At least 2 years of experience in Desktop support

Install, configure, and update operating systems (like Windows or macOS) and business applications.

Replace faulty components like hard drives, memory, and screens, or set up new workstations for employees or clients

Strong communication and tech support skills

Record problems and solutions in a helpdesk ticketing system and track hardware inventory

Ensure antivirus tools are active, apply security patches, and assist with data backup routines.

Cloud administration such as M365 and Email control panel is essential

Experience with standard desktop imaging and packaging

Strong network troubleshooting skills and understanding of networking.
